The recently closed Vini Ad Arte has become a key event for Romagna wine, bringing together national and international press professionals for a tour exploring the main DOC and DOCG designations. From May 12 to 14, a group of journalists from 10 different countries had the chance to delve into the wine history of Romagna through seminars, masterclasses, and dedicated tastings.
The stunning Villa Abbondanzi in Faenza hosted the technical tasting of the previews on May 14. With 50 participating wineries and 140 wines presented, 30 journalists were given a comprehensive overview of the rich wine production in Romagna.
President Roberto Monti shared his thoughts: “We don’t usually indulge in easy enthusiasm, but we are very pleased to note that the XIX edition of Vini Ad Arte 2024 impressed everyone, from producers to journalists. The updated format, rich in content – shared in English by a highly-regarded AIS trainer – sparked significant interest in our region, vineyards, and wines. The tasting of 140 wines, including Romagna Sangiovese and Albana, presented at the preview was experienced under the right conditions, which is why we eagerly await the journalists' reviews on the event and, more importantly, on the value of the vintages tasted. Once again, it underscores the importance for producers of presenting their wines together in the only annual Romagna event dedicated to the press.”
The nineteenth edition of Vini Ad Arte highlights the impressive work of the Consorzio Vini di Romagna: the region's excellence takes center stage in the international spotlight.
From April 14th to 17th, Consorzio Vini di Romagna will be a key player at the 56th edition of Vinitaly, Italy's most important wine fair with a broad international scope.
The Consorzio Vini di Romagna is gearing up for its first international event of 2024. From March 10th to 12th, it will be participating in ProWein in Düsseldorf alongside eight associated wineries from Romagna.
